3RX1 (born Alexander Rogers Cromwell) is a multimedia artist. Cromwell started out working in video editing services, martial arts, and (to a limited degree) video game design. Later Cromwell began releasing music in 2014 in the form of short extended plays and singles largely made up of samples and loops with some effects processing and occasion instrumentation, he also used the alias 'Damned Geordie' to release very rough mixes of jungle tracks. This pattern continued until Violate to Behave was released on Halloween of 2016 under Cromwell's new alias, 'Alix DiViant' (the 'Di' is from the word 'divine', and 'Viant' is from the word 'deviant', it wasn't a very good idea.) Upon releasing the oddly titled 'Drink Bleach Every Night' in 2017 Cromwell's music took a dive into combining the sounds of dark industrial house and ambient music, with seemingly random musical genres thrown in for good measure. Instrumentation and vocals also became more prominent with less emphasis on samples as time went on and more albums and singles were released. In 2019 Cromwell had assumed other aliases, 'Alix Illusion' and 'Synth Siren', both of which were pretty short lived and by 2020 Cromwell had stopped using aliases. As time went on Cromwell strayed more away from industrial music and started to drift into a more upbeat sound, Earl Grey Through the Haze is an example of this, released in 2020. A. R. Cromwell's latest EP 'The Solar Wireframe' was released in 2021. 3RX1 started officially in 2024.
